At Sa Vie we love putting pots on the table. We are sparing with your data. Here you can read which data we keep, why, for how long, and what your rights are.
Sa Vie, [legal form], Langestraat 81, 8000 Bruges, Belgium
Company number: [1037.586.036 — to be checked]
Email: [info@saviebrugge.be]
Phone: [number to follow]
We are responsible for processing your personal data.
When you book a table:
When you visit the website: we count how many visits there are and which pages are read. This happens without cookies and without us knowing who you are. [To be checked: which counting tool — e.g. Cloudflare Web Analytics or GoatCounter.]
We never ask for your date of birth, address or title.
| Purpose | Which data | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Receiving and confirming your booking and getting your table ready | name, phone, email, day, time, number of guests, comment | To carry out the booking you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) |
| Calling or emailing you about your booking (confirmation, change, cancellation) | name, phone, email | Idem |
| Taking your allergies into account | allergies | Your explicit consent, given by ticking the box (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR) |
| Keeping track of how busy we are: how many guests per day, month and year | only the day, service, number of guests and whether the booking went ahead — without name or contact details | Our legitimate interest in running the business well: purchasing, staff, opening hours (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) |
| Improving the website | anonymised visitor figures | Idem |
We do not use your data for advertising or a newsletter, and we never sell it to anyone.
| Data | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Allergies | Deleted 7 days after your visit |
| Name, phone, email, comment | Deleted 12 months after your visit (or after your cancellation) |
| Counts: day, service, number of guests, whether or not it went ahead | Indefinitely, but without anything that refers to you |
| Emails you send us | For as long as needed to answer your question, and for no more than [12 months] |
So after 12 months, all that remains of your booking is something like "Thursday 1 October 2026, evening, 2 guests". That lets us see how busy it was, without knowing it was you.
Only with services we need to make the website and the bookings work. They may not use your data for anything else.
| Service | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify | hosting the website and the booking form | USA — with EU standard contractual clauses [to be checked] |
| Neon | database with the bookings | [EU region, e.g. Frankfurt — to be chosen] |
| Google Workspace | our mailbox | [EU/USA — to be checked] |
| [Resend] | sending confirmation emails | [to be checked] |
| [Telegram] | a notification on our phone when a new booking comes in | [to be checked] |
We never pass your data on to other parties, unless the law requires us to.
